Agro processing units move large volumes of light, dusty or sticky material – paddy, rice, wheat, pulses, sugar, bagasse, oil seeds and bags. The belts here are not under the same abuse as a mine belt, but they must run clean, grip well on inclines and not react with oils in the product.

Choosing the Right Cover
If the product contains oil – soybean, mustard, groundnut, cotton seed or de-oiled cake – a normal rubber cover will swell and soften. Use an oil resistant belt instead. For direct contact with food, choose a white food grade belt. For bags on inclined loaders, a rough top surface stops bags from slipping back.
